CHILD CARE FOOD PROGRAM MONITOR (PART-TIME)
JOB DESCRIPTION: Korean American Family Services (KFAM) is a non-profit organization specializing in gender-based violence, mental health, and foster/adoption services to API immigrant families. KFAM is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and hardworking individual to work in its Child Care Food Program (CCFP) under the supervision of the CCFP Manager. The individual is responsible for monitoring day care homes and preschool/afterschool centers in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas. This position has flexible working hours on weekday mornings, afternoons or evenings. The workload will be approximately 20 hours per week on average.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Conduct monitoring visits with licensed day care providers to ensure that they are meeting CCFP requirements.
• Follow up with providers after monitoring visits if they need training or corrections.
• Submit written reports after monitoring visits.
• Work with CCFP Manager to decide which providers to visit during the month, but the number of visits, locations, and schedule can be flexible.
• Assist CCFP Manager with completing paperwork required by CCFP program.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bilingual in Korean or Spanish a plus.
• Must have a valid driver¡¯s license, regular use of a car, and auto insurance.
• Willingness to drive significantly (mileage reimbursement provided).
• Must pass TB Test and criminal background check.
• Ability to work well with people, and sensitivity to the needs of children and families.
• Must have strong organizational skills, be good at multi-tasking, and meet deadlines.
BENEFITS: $20 hour plus mileage $0.65/mile based on federal reimbursement rate
